Biography

British Commander-In-Chief of the Army in WW I, relinquishing the post December 1915. Titled the First Earl of Ypres, he became Viceroy of Ireland, May 1918. While in Ireland, an assassination attempt failed on 12/19/1919. French died 5/22/1925, Kent, England.
