Biography
American singer and actress, promoted as a juvenile player in 1939 by MGM in "The Great Victor Herbert," followed by a dozen more singing pictures. Her film career was a short six years with her best role in "The Phantom of the Opera," 1943. She continued to sing in operettas and musicals until her career waned after 1956. From 1956 Foster went to work as a clerk with a Wall Street brokerage firm.
She married n 1948 to 1956, Wilbur Evans, and they had two sons.
