Biography

British photographer whose portraits are the best known in the world, photos of five prime ministers, all the Churchill family, kings, sultans and movie people. She was the author of an autobiography "They Came to my Studio."

One of 11 kids, she was a singer, artist and publisher. When she met art teacher Entwistle in 1913 it was love at first sight; they married and had two sons.
