Biography
French filmmakers Louis and Auguste Lumiere began a photographic picture camera image of workers emerging from their father's factory for their lunch break. Edison has previously demonstrated his Kenetoscope in which moving images were displayed inside a bos, but this was the first "collective projective," in which the images could be reproduced on a screen to be seen by many people simultaneously.
