Source Notes

Sy Scholfield quotes "Lives of the Last Four Princesses of the Royal House of Stuart" by Agnes Strickland (Bell and Daldy, 1872), p. 155: "THE Princess Elizabeth, second daughter of Charles I. and Queen Henrietta Maria, was born in St. James's Palace, at ten o'clock on the morning of December 28th, 1635, during a deep fall of snow, on the day of the Holy Innocents." Archbishop Laud's diary is cited but not clearly as the source of the time of birth, therefore the data is rated B.
