Biography
British royalty, known as Edward of Woodstock, the Prince of Wales. He was the first born son of Edward III and his Queen, Philippa of Hainaut. Edward was invested with the Duchy of Cornwall on 3/17/1336/37 and was created Prince of Wales on 5/12/1343, holding the additional titles of Duke of Cornwall, Earl of Chester and Prince of Aquitaine.
He married his cousin Joan, Countess of Kent, October 1361. A military general, he traveled far on conquest. Died of a disease contracted in Spain, 7/08/1376 OS, Westminster, England.
