Biography
American astronaut; lunar module pilot aboard Apollo 16. He was the tenth man on the Moon. Duke became a lay minister, describing his Christianity as "a tremendous adventure for my wife and me since 1978." It emerged from an emptiness he felt after going to the moon and a near-divorce in the mid-'70s. "No matter how much power or fame or money one has," he says, "it can never satisfy without a deep personal relationship with God."
