Biography

French biologist, bacteriologist, and author, known as the father of antibiotics. He received the Pulitzer prize in 1969 for his non-fiction work, "So Human An Animal."

Dubos entered the hospital in early February 1982 and died of heart failure on February 20, 1982 in New York, NY on his 81st birthday.
