Biography
Irish psychic, an automatic writer and spiritualist medium. Her psychic development was marked by the successive appearance of five entities: Peter, Eyen, Astro, Shamar and Johannes. Her first psychic circle was formed during the winter of 1914. At the second or third meeting the first entity became known, saying that he'd thrown himself under a train in Boston ten days before. He initiated new features, such as blind-folded ouija board trials. The following four controls were equally colorful.
Dowdan was the highly cultured former Mrs. Travers-Smith by marriage.
