Biography
British construction engineer; remembered as the man who put the first tube railway under London. He was Chief Construction engineer for British Westinghouse Co in India plus other productive and prestigious posts. After years of research in commerce and finance he became world famous for the Douglas Social Credit scheme in 1923.
He died on September 29, 1952 in his home in Fearman, Scotland of unspecified causes. He was 73.
