Biography
Italian university professor, a member of the resistance and founder of a center for religious study in Bologna. Entering the clergy, he was ordained a priest in 1959 and renounced his worldly occupations in 1972, retiring to a cloister for prayer and study. He died in Bologna on December 15, 1996, cause unspecified. One report gave a time of 6:30 AM.
