Taeger IHL update 3 quotes biography by Husek-Schrut with 'midnight of 26 to 27 February'. As the day of birth is commonly given as 26th, the time was put at 1 minute before midnight.
Sy Scholfield quotes from "Ema Destinnová: Ve slovech i obrazech" by Václav Holzknecht (Panton, 1972): "She was born at midnight between the 26th and 27th of February 1878, so that she left to free consideration which date will one choose for her birth and make her thus one day older or younger. But the parish register decided for the 26th of February and with it the child officially entered the life. It happened in Prague, Catherine Street No. 5, not far from the land lunatic asylum."
