Biography
Czechoslovakian soprano opera singer, noted for range and voice control as well as acting skill. After her 1898 debut in Berlin, Destinn sang there for the next decade with a New York debut in 1908. After eight years with the Met, she retired in 1921.
She died 1/28/1930, Budweis, Czechoslovakia.
