Biography

German homicidal maniac. The landlord of a rooming house, he had some tenants who were transient and not easily traced. Between 1921 and 1924, he killed about 30 people and cannibalized them, pickling remains that were not immediately disposed.

Arrested on 12/21/1924, he hanged himself in his jail cell early in 1925, Munsterberg, Germany.
