Biography
American politician, a U.S. Congressman and perhaps the most powerful black political operative in the early '70s. He began his career as a social worker and community organizer in 1962 and was elected to the Senate on 11/03/1970.
Dellums was married twice; five kids. In 1977 one of his sons was jailed for assault and convicted of 2nd degree murder on 11/13/1979.
