Biography

French serial killer. The eldest of five children, he was tortured by his violent and alcoholic father. At age 13 he was put in a foster home. Calling himself the Prince of Darkness, he dedicated to Satan his performance of ritual sacrifices on animals.

When he was 20, during a robbery on 4/28/1990, he strangled, raped and slit the throat of a 63-year-old woman. On 11/18/1991, he beheaded his best friend, using an ax, and carried the head in his knapsack for the rest of the day.

Apprehended and awaiting trial, on 8/15/1992, he murdered a prison guard using a knife. Of 14 psychiatric experts who were assigned to his case, none came to the same conclusion, beyond their agreement that he was beyond redemption. His murders were premeditated and he declared that he had a goal of 5,000 victims. Delabriere was sentenced to life in prison in April 1995.
