French politician, currently serving as a deputy in the French National Assembly for the UMP.
A child of the founding family of the Dassault Group, he has taken and continues to work in a number of roles within the family firm. He is president of Dassault Communications, president of the board of directors of French publisher Valmonde, member of the board of the French financial newspaper Journal des Finances and an administrator of Dassault subsidiary Socpresse.
He is a 1974 graduate of the École de l'Air Air Force academy and has a master's degree in mathematics as well a doctorate in business computer systems. He is also passionate for photography and has published several books of his photos. Dassault is also a composer and musician and contributed several scores for well known French movies.
Having qualified as professional IFR pilot in 1975, he has set a number of world speed records.
He has a daughter, Héléna, and two sons: Rémi, from on earlier relationship, and Thomas, whom he has had with his wife Natacha Nikolajevic.
