Biography
American basketball Head Coach for the Detroit Pistons who won two consecutive championships under his direction (1989 and 1990). He also coached the Olympic Team to a gold medal in 1992 in Barcelona. He was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1994.
He died on May 9, 2009 in Jupiter, FL, age 78. He had been suffering from pancreatic cancer.
