American entrepreneur, founder of Razorfish, an e-business providing web site design services. He is flamboyant and arrogant, loves Prada suits, avant-garde art and the chic downtown.
The youngest of seven children, the entrepreneurial spirit runs in his blood. His dad was an insurance salesman and his mother held a variety of jobs including her own landscaping business. All of his siblings have at one time or another started their own businesses.
He graduated in 1988 with a bachelor's in dance and dramatic literature and went on to New York University to get his master's in 1992 in performing arts administration. "I wanted to be the owner of the theater chain, as opposed to one star on one single stage." During his grad school years, he launched his own marketing company "In Your Face." After grad school, he returned to Minneapolis to help his oldest brother who owned Game Financial, a casino payment services outfit. His restlessness took hold and he only stayed about a year. Moving to New York City, he connected with a buddy from his childhood, Craig Craig Kanarick. The duo founded Razorfish in January 1995.
