Biography
British scientist, a chemist and physician who was the foremost authority of his time on the industrial uses of chemistry. He invented the Crookes Tube, a Radiometer and a Spinthariscope, making many contributions to his field. Crookes was the founder and editor of "The Chemical News."
Died on 4/04/1919, London.
