Biography
French scientist; a veterinarian. He and his colleagues, Doctors Arloing and Thomas, were instrumental in the development of a vaccine to use on cattle and other livestock with anthrax. The trio’s experiments using heat proved successful at weakening the bacilli responsible for anthrax. They used the same procedure to develop a vaccine against Black-leg, another devastating bovine disease.
