Biography
British actress who won international acclaim for "Shirley Valentine." She first came to notice in the U.K. for "The Liver Birds," 1969. Her cast members included Nicola Pagett, Lesley-Anne Down and Jean Marsh.
Collins married actor John Alderton in 1969 and they had four kids. In October 1988 she revealed that she had given birth to a daughter in 1964 whom she let out to adoption six weeks later.
