Biography
American attorney and influential Democrat, government appointee. He joined other wealthy moderate Democrats in persuading San Francisco's mayor Jack Shelley not to run for a second term. Along with a coalition of businesses, minorities, labor and prominent Italians, they successfully backed attorney Joseph Alioto to become mayor. Coblentz received his law degree in 1950. He married 1/27/1952 with two kids.
