Source Notes

Sy Scholfield quotes "Braunschweig-Lüneburgische Chronica" by Philippus Julius Rehtmeier (Detleff Detleffsen, 1722), p. 1635: "Christian der Aeltere . . . ist A. 1566. den 19. Novemb. um 6. Uhr Nachmittage, zu Zell geboren."

Wikipedia gives 9 November (equal to 19 November NS) so the dates in this book are presumably New Style.
