Biography
American homicide, age 22 when he had an altercation with Jody Driscoll, 18, about 11:00 PM on 9/16/1990 in Everett, MA. He was making a phone call at a telephone booth at a market parking lot when Driscoll came up behind him and began pushing the phone buttons. Driscoll then went back to her pals, another girl and two guys and said that Cherubin had shoved her.
Driscoll and her girlfriend were walking across the street when Cherubin drove his black Pontiac Grand Prix out of the lot at high speed. He hit Jennifer Jankowski, then hit Driscoll and ran the car over her. She died a half hour later. Four young men leaped into another car to pursue Cherubin. When they stopped at a light, Cherubin tried to run one of them down.
He was found guilty of second degree murder, two charges of assault with a dangerous weapon and two charges of leaving the scene, and was sentenced to life.
