Source Notes

Wemyss in Modern Astrology 3/1932, stated as from Gadbury; same in NN No.660 (November 24 OS, 12:00 PM LAT)

[Translation: The king of Sweden got the news of the birth of a prince, born to him on 25 November at St[ockholm?] between 12 and 1 o'clock in the night, named Carolus].

Scholfield notes another source, "Karl XI" by Alf Åberg (Wahlstrom & Widstrand, 1958), p. 5: "Den 24 november 1655 mellan klockan elva och tolv på natten föddes en prins på Stockholms gamla slott." [Translation: On 24 November 1655 between the hours of eleven and twelve at night was born a prince in Stockholm's old castle].

Most sources give the 24th so it is possible the news was received in the first hour of the 25th but the birth occurred in the last hour of the 24th, so midnight between the 24th and 25th is suggested as an alternative birth time.
