Biography
French royalty, the fourth child of the Dauphin Louis and grandson of Louis XV, known as Charles Philippe, Count of Artois. He married at 16 and passed his youth in scandalous dissipation; he was loathed by the people.
Charles X reigned from 1824 to 1830 and in his six years on the throne, never did learn how to rule with either discretion or skill. He died 11/06/1836 at Gorlitz.
