Biography
Italian historian who wrote on the history of political thought, notably "Machiavelli and the Renaissance," 1926. He turned to archive-based political and religious histories at local levels in the '30s. His greatest achievement was to make a successful synthesis of traditional narrative history with French social history.
Chabod died 7/14/1960, Rome.
