Biography

French jurist; President of the U.N. Human Rights Commission 1946-1968 and principal author of the U.N. Declaration of the Rights of Man, adopted 1948. Cassin was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1968. He died 2/20/1976, Paris.
