Biography
American homicide, the killer by gunshot on 6/27/1996, about 11:30 PM, of Anne Marie Fahey (born 1/27/1966). On the following day his brother Gerard helped him carry the cooler containing her body onto their boat and dump it into the Atlantic Ocean off Stone Harbor NJ. (Gerard was born 5/25/1963; his other two brother were Louis Jr (10/24/1951) and Joseph (10/24/1952). His sister is Marian Capano (born 7/29/1944).)
Tom married his wife Kay on 6/17/1972; they later divorced. He met Anne Marie on 4/26/1993 and she gave herself to him on 1/27/1994, her 28th birthday. He had another mistress for 17 years, Deborah Mac Intyre.
On 8/31/1998 Tom was indicted on three counts of criminal activity (two murder plots on Debby and Gerry and the plot to burglarize Debby's house). The trial began
on 10/06/1998. On 1/17/1999, 10:01 AM, the jury found Capano guilty of murdering Anne Marie and 11 days later they voted 10 to 2 for the death penalty by lethal injection. His appeal is still pending in mid-2001. Execution date is set for Thursday, 12/17/2001.
