Biography
Canadian politician, writer and teacher. A lawyer from Vancouver, she gained the post of Defense Minister. She was named the first female Prime Minister, succeeding Brian Mulroney, taking the seat June 1993; however, she lost the position in the election of 10/25/1993. Campbell also resigned her seat as leader of the Conservative party, saying that she was going to teach and write a book.
