Biography

American ballet student from age five. She tried out for the Royal Ballet at age 11 and was accepted to start training in London in 1983. Burke decided, though, not to leave her family and continued to train locally. Later, she joined the London Ballet as a prima ballerina and married an Englishman; they have one child.
