Source Notes

Bordoni quotes Amica magazine; in October 2007 Sy Scholfield finds similar information given in Andrew Biswell's book, "The Real Life of Anthony Burgess" (Picador, 2005), p. 1. Biswell writes that Burgess was born "at midday ... just after the pubs had opened."
