Biography
Scottish literary giant of poetry and playwright. Some believe that he was never given the respect he deserved from Scotland's literary community or the credit for creating his own particular theatre style. In 1968, Buchan was appointed senior lecturer in English and Drama at Clydebank Technical College and in 1973, he began as editor of the magazine, "Scottish International." When he wrote "The Great Northern Welly Boot Show" from 1972, he established the career of Billy Connolly.
