Biography

Scottish musician, singer, teacher and portrait-painter. In 1961 Browne co-founded the Corries Folk Trio and by 1966 he put his teaching career on hold while the group toured. The trio became one of Scotland's most popular folk acts with best-selling albums, national television shows and concerts, up until the untimely death of one of it's members, 8/12/1990. Browne went solo after that, continuing in the music industry.
