Biography
Netherlands musician, Holland's most famous rock star, a suicide by jumping from the roof of the Hilton Hotel in Amsterdam on 7/11/2001, 3:00 PM MEDT. A lifelong junkie, Brood's addiction moved into wrenching depression. Also a talented painter, he was a longtime friend of Nina Hagen, with whom he was married briefly in 1979.
