Biography

German astronomer and mathematician who gave his name to the law that established relationships between the orbits of the planets in our solar system. He served as the director of the Berlin Observatory in 1786 and edited a 54-volume ephemeras. Bode lost his right eye in an accident; he injured it with his pen knife.

He died on 11/23/1826.
