Biography
American musician, an important guitarist in American rock'n'roll who played with the biggies from the time he was 15. He was born two days after Mick Jagger and the same day as Bill Bradley. His research in black urban ethnomusicology was superb, as he hung out at the black bars on the south side while learning to play guitar. Bloomfield's career was cut short by an accidental drug overdose in San Francisco on 2/15/1981.
