Biography
German dancer, teacher and ballet master. He was a member of the Berlin State Opera Ballet from 1933-1949, a Ballet Master of the Berlin Municipal Opera from 1949-1957 and a Master of the Hamburg State Opera from 1949-1957 and from 1959-1962. He also was head of the Ballet Department at the Munich Academy of Music from 1962-1974. He operated his own schools in major cities, and was one of most respected teachers of the post-war generation of dancers.
