Biography
Spanish politician and member of the Spanish legislature, first elected to the Senate in 1986. Ten years later he was elected to the Congress and was re-elected several times. In April 2009 he was appointed Minister of Public Works and Transport. Lopez is a member of the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party and in 2010 is deputy general.
