Biography
Italian writer, a novelist and poet. He began his career as an apprentice to a mason; he worked as a technical designer as well in his earlier years. He began writing prolifically in the 1930s, publishing his first volume of poetry in 1936. He published his first fiction, "Estarina," in 1942.
He died in Rome on May 3, 1993.
