Biography

American pro baseball pitcher who has played in the American League for two years and the National League for 12 years. After attending Loyola College, Bielecki was selected in the sixth round draft by the Kansas City Royals, 1/09/1979, though not signing with them, he was selected to play with the Pittsburgh Pirates, 6/05/1979. He stayed with the Pirates until 3/31/1988 when he was traded to the Chicago Cubs. Picked up by the Atlanta Braves 9/29/1991, he was placed on the disabled list 7/29/1992 for the remainder of the season.

Granted free agency 10/30/1992, Bielecki has played for the Cleveland Indians, Baltimore Orioles, Atlanta Braves, California Angels and back to the Atlanta Braves. During this time period he was placed on the disabled list in 1995 and 1997. At 6' 2", 200 lbs, he throws right and bats right. Statistically, Bielecki was tied for the eastern league lead with 24 home runs allowed in 1982, played in one division series game, two championship series and one world series in 1996 with Atlanta.
