Biography
German-American physicist. He won the Nobel Prize for physics in 1967. He left Germany in 1933 and became naturalized U.S. citizen. Chief of theoretical physics at Los Alamos from 1943, he worked on the Manhattan Project and helped develop the hydrogen bomb. Married once, two children.
Died in Ithaca, New York on 6 March 2005.
