Biography
American baseball player, a pitcher with the Milwaukee Brewers. Bere was originally signed by the Chicago White Sox on 6/04/1990 after being selected in the 36th round of the free-agent draft. He spent eight years with the organization before being released in 1998.
His career with Chicago was riddled with injuries from the very beginning; the only year that he was not injured was 1994. His performance during the '94 season was superior, earning him a spot in the All Star game playing for the American league. During the other years of his White Sox career his injuries ranged from an elbow problem to carpel-tunnel syndrome. While recovering from injury, Bere was assigned to Chicago-affiliated minor league teams for rehabilitation.
In 1993 he played in the only playoff contest of his career when he finished off a game for the White Sox.
