Biography

Italian Olympic and World Boxing champion. He began professional boxing on 1/20/1961, and won the titles of Jr. and Middleweight champ from 1966-70 and Olympic Gold in 1970. After winning his titles, he became self-important and extravagant, spending his money for drugs and luxuries. He lost three fights in a row, and had a paternity suit filed on behalf of an alleged daughter, Nathalie Bertorello, born by a top model, Nadia Bertorello, in 1968.

After a high-life, he turned his attention to seeking other directions; divorced his wife and made a pilgrimage to India. In 1998, he returned and married his lover from the past, Nadia Bertorello.
