Biography
Italian ecclesiastic, he was ordained a priest in 1935, moving up through the ranks at the Vatican to become Archbishop and ultimately a Cardinal in 1969. He was influential in the administration of Pope John Paul II.
He suffered a fatal brain hemorrhage on March 21 1993 in Rome.
