British writer, the beloved author of "Thomas the Tank Engine," "Henry, Edward and Gordon, the Other Steam-engines," and "The Fat Controller. He was a respected writer of children's stories as well as a reverend minister of the church.

He died 10/27/1994 at home in Stroud, Gloucestershire..
