Biography

American coach and GM of the Boston Celtics, a legendary figure who led the team to an unprecedented and unmatched 15 championships. He was a member of the Basketball Hall of Fame.

The great basketball coach died at age 89 in a Bethesda, MD hospital on October 28, 2006, reportedly of a heart attack. He had been ill for many years, suffering from colon cancer and respiratory problems.
