Biography
French skier and winner of the World Cup events in 1995 and 1996, when he won a Bronze Medal (downhill) in the World championships. In 1997, he won the World cup (Super-G) with a total of 12 victories in the World Cup (10 downhill and 2 Super-Gs). Alphand has turned to the world of car racing and won the 2006 Dakar rally. On June 27, 2009 he suffered a back injury in a racing accident in the Auvergne.
