Biography
American civil rights lawyer, politician and daughter of former Mayor of San Francisco, Joseph Alioto. She waged an unsuccessful bid for mayor in 1991 and again in 2003.. She graduated from Lone Mountain College in 1971, earning her J.D. from University of San Francisco in 1983. She was admitted to the California Bar in 1987. Her husband, Adolfo Veronese died in 1990; they had four children.
